Science and Technology Industry Park in Suxian District

The Science and Technology Industry Park in Suxian District was established in 2003. Covering an area of 6635 mu(about 442.33 hectares), the park is divided into three zones: A zone, B zone and Taiwan Industry zone, all of which are located in the Non-ferrous Industry Park with an overall plan area of 22.5 square kilometers. Together with the national export processing zone----Chenzhou Export Processing Zone and Chenzhou Non-ferrous Industry Park, it forms trinity of great industry zones with an industry structure where they can complement each other's advantages and industry chain in which high and low-end products collocate. The park also enjoys preference over national industry parks. Currently, all enterprises in A zone have been constructed and put into operation. They include pillar industries of non-ferrous further processing, mechanical manufacturing, electronic information, etc.

Chenzhou Nonferrous Metals Industrial Park & Chenzhou Export Processing Zone

Chenzhou Nonferrous Metals Industrial Park is a provincial development zone approved to be established by the provincial government in April, 2003. Chenzhou Export Processing Zone was approved by the State Council in July, 2005 and has been put into operation since November, 2007. It is the only national export processing zone in Hunan province. A management style of "the same institution, different brands" is applied for the two zones. Under its jurisdiction fall a county in addition to a secondary vocational school. It covers an area of 100 square kilometers (3 square kilometers for the export processing zone). The permanent resident population is 40,000. After years of development, the zone has introduced 90 enterprises. Four leading industries, non-ferrous new materials, electronic information, advanced manufacturing, commercial logistics, have taken initial shape.
